Machine Quilting Services—Intricate or Simple

We are now offering online custom machine quilting orders. Are you tired of wobbly borders, big basting stitches, and little creativity? Let one of the best longarm custom machine quilting shops quilt your quilt for you. Laura's professional quilting has won numerous machine quilting awards. She and her custom quilting staff are ready to transform your quilts with their outstanding machine quilting!

Ship your quilt and the backing to us and let us decide on the perfect design for your quilt. Let us know if you prefer intricate free motion quilting or a more simple pantograph design. Specify your batting choice—we have several cotton and poly–cotton blends to choose from. Unless specified, we will choose the best thread combination from our vast collection of machine quilting threads. We carry numerous weights and colors in solid and variegated combinations. Depending on the design you choose and the size of your quilt, prices range from $20–50 per square yard.

Guidelines for preparing your quilt for machine quilting:

  1. The backing and batting must be at least 4" larger than the quilt top around all four sides, or 8" total.
  2. If your back is pieced, the selvages must be removed and the seams trimmed to 1/4" and pressed open.
  3. Backing and batting must be square with straight edges.
  4. Please, do not pin the layers together.
  5. If your quilt will have scalloped edges, cut the scallops after the quilt is quilted.
  6. Do not sew buttons or beads on the quilt top until after it is quilted. If your quilt comes to us with buttons or beads you run the risk of us cutting them off or the machine breaking them. It takes extra time to deal with them.

If you have questions or need an estimate, please contact us regarding our machine quilting service.
